Frequently asked questions

What happens in the first session?

The first session lasts about 45-60 minutes. We talk about your health history, medications, eating habits, daily routine and expectations, and take measurements such as height, weight and waist circumference. At the end of the session, we plan together how to build your personalised nutrition plan and how follow-up will work.

What should I bring to my first session?

It helps to bring blood test results from the last three months, a list of the medications and supplements you take, and any reports or recommendations from your physician. If possible, briefly noting what you eat for a few days before the session makes it easier for us to review your habits together.

How do online sessions work?

Online sessions take place via video call applications. Once your appointment is confirmed, I send you the meeting link by email. You take your measurements at home, and I explain how to do this in detail in the first session. Your nutrition plan is sent to you by email after the session.

How often are follow-up sessions held?

At the start we usually plan a follow-up session every two weeks. Follow-ups are shorter than the first session, lasting around 20-30 minutes. As habits settle in, the intervals can be extended according to your needs. We decide on the frequency together based on your goals and daily routine.

What should I do if I want to cancel or reschedule?

If you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance by phone, email or message. This allows me to offer the time to another client. We will then find a new day and time that suits you.

Will my plan just be a list?

Your plan is prepared around your habits, the foods you enjoy and your daily routine. Rather than a one-size-fits-all list, it includes meal alternatives, suggestions for eating out and practical recipe ideas. The aim is not a list full of prohibitions, but a balanced routine you can keep up.

I have a medical condition. Can I receive counselling?

Yes. If you have a diagnosed condition such as diabetes, insulin resistance, thyroid disease or high blood pressure, I prepare your nutrition plan in line with your physician's recommendations. Nutrition counselling does not replace medical treatment, so it is important to continue your medical follow-up.

Can I book an appointment for my child?

Yes. I provide family-centred nutrition counselling for children of all ages, from the start of complementary feeding through to adolescence. With young children, we can hold the first session with parents. It helps to bring your paediatrician's growth assessment.

Do you sell supplements or products?

No. I do not sell any supplements, teas or slimming products. In our sessions, I first assess how your needs can be met through food. When supplement use comes up, I recommend that the decision be made together with your physician.

Is the information I share kept confidential?

Yes. All personal and health information you share is kept confidential under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and is used only for the purpose of nutrition counselling. You can find detailed information on the Privacy Notice page.
