Weight management counselling

Personalised counselling focused on building a sustainable eating pattern based on your lifestyle, habits and health status.

Weight management counselling

Weight management is often thought of simply as "eating less". Yet sleep, stress, working hours, social life and our relationship with food all have a direct influence on the process. In this counselling service, our aim is to build an eating pattern you can apply in everyday life, rather than relying on short-term restrictions.

Who is this service for?

  • Adults who want to maintain a body weight within a healthy range or move closer to it,
  • People who have tried different diets but found them hard to sustain,
  • Those who struggle to establish a routine because of irregular meal times, shift work or a busy schedule,
  • People who want to gain weight and balance their diet.

How does the process work?

Assessment

In the first session we talk about your health history, any medications, recent blood tests and your daily eating habits. We take measurements such as height, weight and waist circumference, and carry out a body composition analysis when needed. If you have a medical condition, we prepare your nutrition plan in line with your physician's recommendations.

Personalised planning

Your plan takes into account the foods you enjoy, the time you can spend in the kitchen and your budget. Rather than a one-size-fits-all list, it includes meal alternatives and practical options for eating out.

Follow-up and adjustment

In follow-up sessions we look together at how the plan suits you. We talk about the points you find difficult and update the plan when needed. These sessions are not only about the scale; they are also a chance to talk about your energy levels, your sleep and your relationship with food.

What do we talk about?

  • Meal patterns and portion awareness,
  • Recognising hunger and fullness cues,
  • Emotional eating and stress-related eating habits,
  • Grocery shopping, reading labels and weekly menu planning,
  • Ways to include physical activity in daily life.

Every body and every set of life circumstances is different, so the process varies from person to person. This counselling does not promise a particular result within a particular time frame; it aims to support you in building healthy habits.

Frequently asked questions

How often are sessions held?

At the start we usually plan a follow-up session every two weeks. As the process continues and habits settle in, the interval between sessions can be extended according to your needs.

Will I have to give up the foods I love completely?

No. When preparing your plan, we think together about how to make room for the foods you enjoy. The aim is not a list of prohibitions, but a balanced and sustainable routine.

I have a medical condition. Can I still receive counselling?

Yes. In this case we prepare your nutrition plan in line with your physician's diagnosis and recommendations. It helps to bring any reports and a list of your medications to the first session.
